THÉRÈSE (TERRY) FONTAINE (nee PITRE) Peacefully, at the age of 89 years, on January 12, 2018, Mom was called upon by the Angels to join her loving husband John. She was born on December 30, 1928 to Jacqueline and Alphonse Pitre. Predeceased by husband John, son Paul, and granddaughter Amanda, she will be sadly missed by her children, Jeannette, Louise (Gilles), Raymond (Gisèle), Roland (Heather), Johnny (Mary), Daniel (Suzanne), Gisèle (Dan), and Monique (Joey); daughter-in-law Shelly (Paul); 26 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren; brothers, René (Eileen), Noël (Marion); nieces, nephews, aunt and uncle. She was a loving, generous and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family passionately, more than words can describe. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on January 19, 2018 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons St. , Winnipeg, MB. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Villa Youville for their care, compassion and kindness, with dignity throughout her stay; especially Sister Rioux and Sister Vermette for their compassion, companionship and prayers for Thérèse.
