DENNIS CHRISTOPOULOS Peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2018, our brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Dennis Christopoulos went to join our eternal Father. Dennis leaves to mourn his loving wife of 53 years, Lena Woodhouse, his children Lorette (Garnet), Alex, Lorna, Leona (Henry), and Diane (Kevin); grandchildren Richard, Jordan, Trevor, Craig, Cindy, Natalie, Tasha (Taylor), Alexander, Michael, Matthew, Luke, Breanna, Michelle, Levi, Sam and Louie; as well as 30 great-grandchildren. An exuberant, handsome, and expressive Greek man, Dennis had a passion for life. He loved to work for the love of his life, Lena. His greatest joy was making her happy and taking her dancing and travelling. At times however, Dennis appreciated spontaneous adventures and would travel to Greece to visit his family, and to attend the Olympics in several countries. He also loved to share with his grandchildren his transition to Canada from Greece. He told many grand stories to all of us from the many exciting experiences he had. Dennis' funeral service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue with Rev. Fr. Konstantinos Tsiolas. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue. Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Deer Lodge Centre who went above and beyond to care for Dennis, spend time with him, and make him comfortable. Donations in memory of Dennis may be made to Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3J 0L3. Dennis will be missed greatly! I enjoyed going up for breakfast and lunch and serving his smile! Which also puts smile on my face. He could be rowdy at times (can't we all,haha) but all around great man to be around. I will miss him dearly and so will others. For a toast to him I will do up two Apple juices as it is his usually. And maybe try a boiled egg for him cause I know he looooved those aswell. And how could I forget his bananananas! I remember visiting Auntie Lena and Uncle Dennis when I was very young, about 10 or so and he did tell stories about Greece and Auntie Lena would have cookies and candies there.Wish I could remember more but may he rest in peace. - Posted by: Liz Hallock (Fletcher) (Niece) on: Jan 18, 2018
