Marie and I shared a few years together sharing apartments. My most memorable occasion was when we went to Hawaii with our friend Anne. She introduced me to Ukrainian traditions, especially the wonderful food. We had not kept in contact over the years but I had been thinking about her a lot around Christmas, looking on Facebook to connect and finally found the announcement through safari the end of January that she had recently passed away. I guess we were still connected. Now today I am remembering her 62nd bitrthday. So sorry Peter and David for the loss of your sister as she talked of you fondly and loved you dearly. She was so vibrant and I will always remember her special walk which showed her energetic personality. Backed then I was Heather Scott, now Heather Penno. My sincere condolences to all who loved her and thinking of her on her birthday. - Posted by: Heather Penno (My first roommate in 1975) on: Sep 13, 2018
