Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYDIA SEIP Mom passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the age of 102 years. Lydia was born April 17, 1915 to parents John and Karoline Graff. Lydia was predeceased by her husband Fred, her mother, and eight siblings: Elizabeth, Katherine, Caroline, Matilda, Elsie, Dorothy, Emma and Hilda. She is survived by two daughters Marilyn and Sharon; plus nieces, nephews and cousins. When Mom was quite young in Transcona she worked in a fruit store, then in a florist shop in Winnipeg. She loved to design flowers. She loved people and always wanted to be around people. She always loved to go to church every Sunday to the Lutheran Church of Good Shepherd in Transcona and later on St. James Church. At St. James she belonged to the L.W.M.L. which she liked very much. She made beautiful baby dresses with ribbons for the bazaar for church. She was a very loving mother and would do anything for us and others. She will be truly missed. We will especially miss going to see Mom at the Lion's as we went for many years. Thank-you so much Lion's Manor for all the hard work you did for looking after Mom all these years and especially Elizabeth the head nurse and Preepha for sitting with Mom when she died. It was very much appreciated. Thank you so very much Pastor Brad for visiting Mom on all your trips and officiating the service and also Pastor Glen. In lieu of flowers, donations are graciously accepted to Peace Lutheran Church. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 350 Gilmore Avenue, Winnipeg with Pastor Brad Schollenberg and Pastor Glen Worchester officiating. Reception to follow. Interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue after the reception.
