PETER HONG KEE CHOW It is with heavy hearts, we, the family of Peter Hong Kee Chow, announce his peaceful passing on January 20, 2018, with his family by his side, at the age of 87. He is survived by his loving wife Yuet Moy of 70 years; children, Steven (Shirley), David (LuBetty), Marlene (Gregory), Marie (Scott), Marion (Edmond) and Cheung (Patricia); grandchildren, Bryan, Jeffrey, Michael, Lyman, Olivia, Eric, David, Nicholas, Eastyn and Christopher. He was born in Taishan, Guangdong, China and came to Canada in 1954 and later joined by his mother and wife. He spent 15 years running the family laundry business, then later worked in restaurants as a cook and eventually joined CN Rail for six years until he retired at the age of 62. He was a kind, generous, uplifting and multi-talented person. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, horseracing and had a passion for Cantonese opera. He played the suona (Chinese flute) with the Chinese Benevolent Association Orchestra for 40 years up until his illness, prevented him from performing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank Dr. Cordova and Dr. Kidane for their support and to the WRHA Home Care nurses, Lana, Andre, Dominique, Monique and Kelly for all their loving care. We also like to thank the staff at HSC Emergency for their compassion during his many visits. Both viewing and service will be held at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue on Monday January 29, 2018. Viewing will take place at 10:30 a.m followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Brookside Cemetery directly following the service with reception back at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre.
