Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I am sad to hear that my cousin Cyke has passed away. I have known Claude all his life. As a matter of fact I was there when his Mom and Dad moved into their house on Dugas St. I will always remember babysitting him and his brother and sisters in that house. Had to pay attention and be on your toes to keep up with Claude. But I enjoyed it. I hold fond memories of seeing him at my father's celebration of life a few years ago. Claude had many good and kind things to say about my father. Rest in Peace Claude. My sincere condolences to his family. - Posted by: Ray Johnson (cousin) on: Jan 30, 2018

  • Heartfelt condolences to Cyke's brother Danny and sisters Claudette & Monique. Deepest of sympathies to Céline and extended family members. I will always have fond memories of Friday nights 'chez les Jeansons'. It was a hub of activity. It is where we met to plan our weekends. The kitchen is where it would all start before migrating to the other rooms. Music was central to any gathering and the louder the better. Claude's music room was equipped for big sound that resonated well beyond the four walls. Discovering new bands (The Cars, VanHalen, etc) or listening to Tommy Bolin, the Stones, etc did sound better from a big box. A man with a big heart is how i will remember him. Now he runs with the Wild Dogs in heaven. Rest in peace Cyke. - Posted by: Menard (Blast from the past) on: Jan 28, 2018

  • It’s hard to believe that Cyke has gone. I’ve known him all of my life. Though we had drifted apart through adulthood, we basically grew up together on Dugas Street. My Dad gave him his nickname when we were very young, and before you knew it, everyone was calling him Cyke. I have great memories of when we were young, playing road hockey in the winter, exploring the spooky attic in the garage in the summer, and generally hanging out with Cyke and Daniel. Though Cyke was a little younger than Daniel and I, he never was too far behind. He was his own character and was certainly smarter than the rest of us. My sincere condolences to Cyke’s family. - Posted by: Marc Johnson (Cousin) on: Jan 28, 2018

  • Nos sympathies à toute la famille. We are so sorry to hear of Cyke’s passing. It seems not so long ago that we were neighbours and saw the family regularly. We have fond memories of his great sense of humour. Love and prayers to the family. - Posted by: Gilles &Lorette Ferland (Past neighbours) on: Jan 27, 2018
