Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONILDA (DONNA) KATE ANDERSON Donna Anderson, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on January 9, 2018. Donna was predeceased by her husband John; and siblings, Glen Graham, Joy Saunders, Willis Graham, Olivine Knibbs and Rose Chase. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Doug (Carol), Garry (Carol), Ron (Suzanne) and Greg (Karen). Mother leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Becka, Jonathon, Shaun, Corey, Jamie, Lori, Jennifer, Joran, Mackenzie and Courtney; and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Whittingham (Gordon), Muriel Welwood, and Laurel Jones; and brothers, Ray Graham (Liz) and Murray Graham (Carole); as well as sisters-in-law, Beth Anderson and Margaret Graham. Donna grew up on the family farm in Holland, Manitoba. She was the fourth of eleven children. At an early age, she moved to Winnipeg where she eventually met and married John Anderson and raised their four boys in the St. Vital area. Our mother loved to cook and she spent many years in the catering business. Donna enjoyed making decoupage pictures and many family and friends now have lovely pictures to remember her by. For the past twenty years, mother lived happily at Agape Villa where she made many friends. Mother was a strong and determined woman. She faced many obstacles and challenges throughout her life but always with courage and the firm belief that tomorrow would be a better day. Donna was always happiest when she was around her family. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Our family would like to thank Dr. Mauro Verrelli and his staff for the excellent care provided to our mother over the past several years. Thanks to Dr. Philip Hughes for his help over the final few months. We would also like to thank mother's neighbours at Agape Villa, and in particular, Karoline and Sheila for frequently checking on our Mom to make sure everything was okay. Our family extends a very special thank you to Garry and Carol. They provided amazing care to mother during the last three months of her life and made it possible for her to pass away peacefully and comfortably at home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna's memory can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba or a charity of one's choice. My sincerest sympathies the wonderful family and many friends of Donilda. I had the pleasure of meeting Donilda in October, 2016. She was a great conversationalist and loved to talk proudly about her past career and her family whom she loved dearly. She was always genuinely interested in what others had to say and I valued her wise opinions which she shared openly and uncensored! She always made me smile. Her passing will leave a void in many hearts...may she rest peacefully. With caring and respect, Koree Stewart - Posted by: Koree Stewart (Donilda's Foot Care Nurse) on: Jan 29, 2018
