BIANCA TUCCI A gentle heart suddenly stopped beating and heaven received a special angel. Peacefully in her sleep and surrounded by love, Bianca Tucci passed away at Golden West Centennial Lodge at the age of 87 years old. She will be sadly missed by her three daughters; Maria-Luisa (Brian), Francesca (Curtis), and Paula (Bill) along with her grandchildren Andrew, Jeremy, Sabrina, Nicholas and Shannon. Left to cherish her memory are her family in Italy: sister Rosetta, sister-in-law Matilde, brothers Aldo (Mafalda), Elio (Valeria), Franco (Iliana) and her brother-in-law Eugenio in Winnipeg, along with many nieces and nephews. Bianca is now reunited with her beloved husband Bernardo, her sister Giulia, her parents Concetta and Vicenzo Ruffolo, her brother Guido and brother-in-law Mario. Born in Cosenza, Italy on September 19, 1930, Bianca was the third oldest of seven children. She married her loving husband Bernardo on July 18, 1954. Shortly after their marriage, they immigrated to Thunder Bay to embrace a new life together. Winnipeg quickly became her permanent residence with many cherished memories. Bianca had a huge impact on her family right until her passing. Although Bianca explored a few part time jobs over the years, her happiest place was her home; preparing daily traditional Italian home cooked meals, and making sure her home was comfortable for her husband and daughters. She took great pride in keeping Italian traditions alive and passed many of them on to her daughters. Her gifts of knitted slippers, afghans, and scarves will be cherished forever. Her words of wisdom will remain in her daughter's hearts forever. Bianca will be remembered for her strong faith, kindness, doting personality, warm smile, and always putting her family first. After our Dad's passing, Mom embraced change with grace. Her world continued to revolve around her three daughters, which brought her endless smiles. Many kind people helped our Mom remain in her warm, cozy home for two additional years after our Dad's passing. We are forever grateful to Iwona (first care-giver), the amazing caregivers from Home-Instead, home care nurses from WRHA and the many compassionate neighbors at her condo complex, specifically, Joy and Romano Guzzo and TK (Gideon) Nicola. We have so much gratitude for all the staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge who took exceptional care of our mom since March 2017. The transition from her home to a personal care home was a difficult one for her, but it made it easier for our family to know that she was always in good hands with compassionate and affectionate staff. Thank you for your efforts in turning her tears into smiles. Flowers are gratefully declined, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Bianca's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Winnipeg, Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Golden West Centennial Lodge, or a charity of choice. According to Bianca's wishes, a private Mass of Christian Burial has already taken place. We are truly blessed to have had a mom who provided us with unconditional love right to the very end of her life. This genuine love will fill our hearts forever and keep her memory alive. Even days before her passing and without much ability to communicate anymore, Mom found her own special way of saying thank-you and good-bye to each one of us. We will treasure that moment forever.
