Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT ERNEST PARRY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Ernest Parry on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Grace Hospital. Lovingly remembered, he will be missed by his wife Dorothy, of 73 years, his closest friends Elaine/Larry Forbes, granddaughters Rhonda (Dal), Cheryl (Tim), Elisa (Glenn), and cherished great-grandchildren. Sadly, he was predeceased by his only son, John, in 2013. Bob was born February 15, 1922 in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he met and married the love of his life, Dorothy. Bob joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 and earned his wings as a Wireless Air Gunner. After the war, he attended Radio College and worked for the Department of Transport. This led to his career with the R.C.M.P. "D" Division Telecom Section. He served from 1954 until his retirement in 1983 where he was known for his trademark "Baritone" voice. He was a proud member of the R.C.M.P. Veterans Association and the Royal Canadian Legion #4. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to his home care staff and close friends that were always there for him. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Dear Aunt Dorothy and family I am sorry for Uncle Bob's passing. He lived a great life and gave inspiration to all who knew him. I remember him as a smiling man with many jokes and I loved him almost as much as I loved Aunt Dorothy. - Posted by: Sandra Ellis (Niece of Dorothy) on: Nov 05, 2018

I knew Bob all my life....Uncle Bob to me.He and my dad met after the war and went to radio school together. They maintained their friendship til my dad passed in 2000. I remember going to visit in the evenings him always laughing about how my dad made fun of his cars. He smoked a pipe and I loved sitting on his lap smelling the pouch of tobacco. Even tho we lost touch I’ll always have fond memories of Uncle Bob. - Posted by: Linda Solar (Friend) on: Feb 18, 2018

Please accept our condolences on the passing of your dear Bob. We have looked after their snow clearing and lawn care for many years and always enjoyed our conversations over the years. He was a very interesting and kind man who cherished his dear Dorothy. Please pass on our sympathy to her as we know she has been in the hospital for some time. We will miss him. - Posted by: Nancy and Ray () on: Feb 03, 2018

RIP Bob. I remember you and your impressive voice from 50 plus years ago. We welcomed any call from XJL-201 at the Detachment level with respect and we knew you had our backs when we went on a call from you. You were well liked and I for one, will miss you. Take care up there my friend and we will meet again one day. - Posted by: Kevin Duckett (Fellow worker) on: Feb 03, 2018
