Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryITSUKO (SUE) TERAMURA May 16, 1926 - January 25, 2018 Mum passed away peacefully at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg. She is survived by her son Ken (Cathie); granddaughter Keeley (Stephen) and great- grandson Ezra, grandson Connor (Ceara); sister Pat; brother-in-law Tad; sister-in-law Kazue; many nieces and nephews and her special friend Debbie McLelland. She was predeceased by her parents, Mankichi Eyemoto and Haruyo Muramoto; sisters, Fumiye and Sayano Eyemoto, Haruko Ooto, Jackie Keates, Bunny Nagamori, Sally Lambert, Grace Granger; brothers, Shinichi, twin Shigeru and Harry Eyemoto and an unnamed brother in infancy; husband Terry; daughter Brenda and granddaughter Megan. Mum grew up in Pitt Meadows, BC and after losing her parents in Japan after the Second World War, moved to Manitoba. She worked on sugar beet farms, sewing factories and as a house worker for the Billinkoff family. In March 1956, she married Terry and later raised a family with the birth of Kenny and Brenda. Mum was a doting parent and grandparent who valued family and hard work. She was also very close to her siblings, nieces and nephews and extended family. She was an active member of the Manitoba Buddhist Temple, an avid reader and loved to crochet. After moving out of her home on Vincent Massey, she moved into River Ridge retirement home. When Mum suffered her first series of strokes, she then moved to the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg. The family would like to thank both places for your loving care for Mum. Mum lived a very full life spanning six generations. While there were many hardships, there were also many great times highlighted by meeting her great-grandson Ezra. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place and a private service has been held. Kato- I remember watching Johnny Carson for the first time at your house- we didn't have cable then. Late in life, my dad would report seeing Sue shopping at Safeway. Small memories that for some reason exist. Always loved your Mom. - Posted by: Alex Tye (Friend) on: Feb 11, 2018
