ALICE LAMBERT (née LORIAULT) Alice Lambert died peacefully at the age of 95, following a short stay at the hospital. She is survived by her children, Lucille (Hilaire Lemoine), Anita (Richard Siemens), René (Nenia Conde), and grandchildren, Emmanuelle, Kristina, Julia, Renée, and Xandric, as well as her sister Anna Manning. She also leaves in mourning numerous nephews and nieces. Alice Lambert was predeceased by her daughter Lorraine and husband Michel Mignault; two sons, Roger and Roger; husband Armand; parents, Emmanuel Loriault and Flavie Pilon; brothers; Joseph, Arthur, Adélard; sister Emmanuella; stepbrother Charles Seewald; nephews, Paul Seewald, Brendan Loriault, Pierre Loriault; and niece Lorraine Cahill. Alice Lambert was a very generous person. At the age of 12, with much sorrow, she was asked to stop school, being the eldest of the girls, to care for her sick mother and manage the household. She learned very young the importance of providing care to others, whether it be her brothers and sisters, her children and grandchildren, members of her church, particularly during the annual parish dinners where she would cook a turkey and prepare pies, and residents of Foyer Valade where she volunteered until the age of 90. Unparalleled as a seamstress, excellent cook with organic produce from her garden, vibrant, young at heart, optimistic in the face of life's challenges this was Alice Lambert. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. (preceeded by a eulogy at 10:45 a.m.) on Saturday, February 10, at Saints-Martyrs Canadiens, 289 Dussault Ave. A public viewing will be held on Thursday February 8 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home on Highway No. 1 E. at Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, donations can be made in memory of Alice Lambert to the Francofonds Community Foundation, environment sector, www.francofonds.org (204-237-5852 or dial free 866-237-5852). The family wishes to thank the good friends and neighbours on Speers Road in Windsor Park who appreciated Alice Lambert, supported and kept a close eye on her, particularly during the last few months. As well, a warm thank you to Dr. Duprat and the health personnel on the 3rd floor of Concordia Hospital for the care provided to Alice Lambert.
