CYNTHIA DAWN SIGURDSON
Born: Jan 05, 1966
Date of Passing: Feb 04, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCYNTHIA DAWN SIGURDSON 1966 - 2018 Peacefully, surrounded by her family, it is with the "Deepest ... Broken Hearts!" that we announce the passing of our Cindy - Loving Daughter, Sister and Aunty on February 4, 2018. Cindy leaves to cherish her memory, mother Sylvia; sisters, Thora (Andy) and Carol; nephews, Garrett (Stephanie); Brayden (Emily) and most beloved great niece Logan! (and countless family and friends!). Cindy was predeceased by her father Thor ... who's "Loving Arms" we know were there to "Greet and Welcome her "Home!" Our Cynthia Dawn was born on January 5, 1966 in Winnipeg, where she has lived her entire life. Cindy was such a SPECIAL BLESSING since the day she was born. She had two great Loves in life - God and her family and she lived her daily life honouring both! Living with Lupus for over 39 years was such a testament to God's Plan and Grace, as she lived her entire life inspiring others! Her gentle and loving nature was endless and forever unconditionally positive! Even on her weakest days, she extended more concern and interest in others ... always! She was full of LIFE and LOVED everyone, every minute of everyday! No matter who she was speaking with, she always made them feel as if they were the most important and the one that mattered most! Xoxo. The unbelievable outpouring of love and prayer for her during these past couple of weeks is evident to the ANGEL that she was! Her sense of humour was beyond! Not only would she "Light up a Room" with her entrance, but shortly after arriving, the room would be in "Giggles!" Some of her favourite times were playing crib, yahtzee or heads-up after huge family dinners or on our special weekends at the lake! The other passion in Cind's life was "Music!" She absolutely LOVED to sing and this was a ritual for her that she enjoyed on a daily basis from sunrise to sunset! She has always been extremely active in the Church and was always very involved in the Church Choir! She solo'd at many weddings (as well as funerals) and always ensured the songs were SO fitting and would practice endlessly to make it perfect for the recipients and it always was! She is "Singing with the Heavenly Choir now!", which we draw strength and comfort from! Our Cinder's work is now done here on Earth, but we KNOW that she is "Rejoicing in Heaven!" and is SO deserving to be "Home" with the "God she Loves!" and the MANY that were waiting for her there! Xoxo. A "Celebration of Life" will be held Wednesday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Sherwood Park Lutheran Church, 7 Tudor Crescent. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sherwood Park Lutheran Church or the Lupus Foundation of Manitoba. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com

We lived in the same block as Cindy and her parents knew her only in passing and exchanging greetings a short conversations, but always felt her warmth and sincerity. A smile I’ll always remember. I work in the building where Cindy lived. I only met her on a couple occasions and only through passing in the hallways. I can truly say that when I entered her presence, it was as though we knew each other for many years. Condolences to her family. - Posted by: Robin () on: Feb 13, 2018

Miss Sylvia! You were my Sunday school teacher, an amazing beautiful soul and the angelic voice that sang at Blaine’s and my wedding, June 19, 1993! You bore a replica of your soul, an angel like you! I remember Cindy from confirmation so long ago! So sweet and unassuming, kind hearted just like u! I was extremely saddened when she fell ill! I was enlightened and relieved to learn she would be ok! I never heard of Lupus before Cindy and then again when my husband’s sister Cyndy fell ill to the disease! Devastating and trying, difficult but manageable and yet hopeful! Cindy was the most beautiful soul aside from yourself that i have ever met in my life! I’m heartbroken and shocked that such a young beautiful soul was taken wayyyyyy too soon! God only takes the amazing early... and Cindy was beyond amazing! I’m sure her father has welcomed her with open arms in the heavens above and I hope with her amazing disposition she finds my mother and brings a smile to her face as she has done with everyone that she has touched in her life! I love you Sylvia! I am sooooo sorry for your loss! I’m sure your whole family including Thora and Carol and extended family are absolutely heartbroken! My family extends our heartfelt sympathies to you all! Our prayers are with you all! Sandi & family❤️ - Posted by: Sandi Hrem (nee Pauls) (Friend) on: Feb 13, 2018

Carol, I am so sorry to hear of Cindy's passing. I know you were so close to her and there will be a great void in your life. I remember her coming into the office - she was always so happy and cheerful, no matter how she was feeling. Even though it's been many years since I've seen her, I still remember how much brighter the room became when she walked in. She definitely made an impact on me. Sylvia, there is nothing harder than losing a child, and I understand so well what you are going through right now. If either of you need to talk, please feel free to call - I'm told I'm pretty good at making people feel a little better. Sharon has my number. Thora and the rest of the family, I am so sorry for your loss. I have no doubt Cindy is heaven's newest and brightest star, and the choir of angels is singing more beautifully than ever. Rest in peace Cindy. - Posted by: Donna Friesen (Dorward) () on: Feb 11, 2018

Cindy was an inspiration to all of us who suffer less than she did, but complain more. She always managed to see the positive in every hardship and physical setback she experienced. Without her knowing it, she taught me many life lessons in humility and gratitude. We felt her presence in church today as we sang songs in the last YEM that she was a part of planning. “Amazing Grace, My Chains are Gone” is our tribute to Cindy. Your memories live on, Cindy! May you Rest In Peace! - Posted by: Janet (Music director, church family) on: Feb 11, 2018

There wasn't a day at the office when Cindy wasn't smiling. There were days you could tell it was tough for her, but she kept on smiling and she was always bubbly. We had a joke between us where I called her Mabel and she called me Shirley and we'd laugh as we passed in the halls and keep on going chuckling to ourselves. May you rest in peace ..and one last time...see ya later, Mabel. - Posted by: Sue Ingleton (Former co-worker) on: Feb 11, 2018

We have lost a beautiful angel but is heaven's gain. Her singing moved me on Sunday mornings and reminded me of her faith and how much she loved her church family. She will be missed. - Posted by: Sherri Voss (Church friend) on: Feb 10, 2018

Even with this saddest of news, just the very thought of our Cinder Dawn puts a huge smile on my face. We all will have many heartfelt memories of this beautiful woman. I will always remember her as one of my favorites in my life. There are no words to describe the loss we will all feel without her genuine loving nature around us in physical form. That said her powerful love for everyone and everything will never fade from our memories, each of us can only hope we are able to make the impact on this world that she was able to do in far too short of a time. I send all my loving thoughts to my family at this most challenging time, I know your strength and love for one another will help comfort each of you through this difficult time. Thora shared a little of Cynthia’s story and life with me the past few years. She sounds like she was an angel on earth. I pray you find some comfort in that. Now an angel in Heaven she will be watching over you and your mom and all your family and will always be with you. I love you Thora, my precious friend. Sending my prayers, comforting thoughts and love Thora to you and your family. Terri Buschau (Winnipeg) - Posted by: Terri Buschau (Friend of Cynthia’s sister Thora) on: Feb 09, 2018
