MINNIE OSIOWY (nee KOLTALO) Peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2018, Minnie passed away at East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home at the age of 89 years. Minnie will be sadly missed by her sons, Bob (Veronica) and Terry (Barb), daughter-in-law Debbie; grandchildren, Shawn (Sandi), Chris (Debbie), Lyndsay (Casey), Danielle, and Blair (Em), and great-grandchildren, Evan, Carter, Dylan, London, Lexi and Makyla. Mom is also survived by brother-in-law, Peter Burak and sister-in-law, Polly Koltalo plus many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jack, sons, Ronald and Richard and her siblings, Helen, Paul, Peter and Pauline, and her great-granddaughter Aurora. Minnie was born on March 21, 1928 to Mike and Mary Koltalo. She was an extremely hard worker, and took pride in all that she did. She loved gardening, canning, was an amazing cook and liked to play Bingo and watch The Price is Right. She enjoyed her time catering with the ladies at Hazelridge and Elmhurst Golf and Country Club. After the passing of her husband, Minnie and her sister Helen enjoyed travelling together to many places including Ukraine, Florida and the East Coast. She was a member for many years of St. Michael's Parish in Cooks Creek. Special thanks to Stony Plains, Dr. VanRensberg and the staff at East Gate Lodge for the exceptional care given to our Mom. A private family service will be held in the late spring or early summer with interment to take place at St. Michael's Parish Cemetery.
