IRENE SCHMID Peacefully, on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at the Health Sciences Centre, Irene Schmid, aged 66 years, of Petersfield, MB, passed away to join her beloved husband, Gerald, who predeceased her in April, 2013. She is survived by her two children, Wanda (David) and Scott (Candace), her grandchildren and great-grandchild, Jordan, Patrick, Leah, Cassandra, Eira, Ilsa, Hailee, and Jayden, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and health care aides for their wonderful care and support. Special thank you to Veronica, from the Step-down Ward for checking in on us after we had left her care. Thank you to Lisa and the palliative care team for your help and support. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation will take place and a private family interment will be held in the St. George's Wakefield Cemetery in the late spring.
