MERNA YVONNE REID It is with deep sadness we announce the death of our dear sister, cousin and friend. Merna passed away peacefully with friends by her side after a short illness at the Grace Hospital on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at 80 years old. She was predeceased by her mother Hannah Taylor; father Mr. Reid; Aunt Miss Rittie and Aunt Muriel. She is survived by her sisters: Eileen Campbell of Jamaica, Betty Kelson and her children: Elaine and Mark of Toronto: cousin Alfred (Fay) and their children of UK. After immigrating to Winnipeg, she worked at CARA Flight Kitchen for 37 years until her retirement. She volunteered at HSC for a while at Guildy's Eatery, as well she was a member of ACAM. Special thanks to Dr. Ogaranko, Dr. George and Grace Hospital staff; Dr. Daeninick and Dr. Mofatt at St. Boniface Hospital. A funeral service will be held at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave Street on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please support CancerCare Manitoba or Heart and Stroke Foundation Manitoba.
