HEATHER KENDRICK 1976 - 2018 With heavy hearts the family of Heather Kendrick, loving mother of Evan and Grace, announce her passing on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the age of 41. She is survived by son Evan and daughter Grace, parents, Dwain and Betty Kendrick, sister Lisa (Brock), niece Kate, nephew Will, and brother Dean (Wallena). Heather was born June 2, 1976 in The Pas, Manitoba. The family moved to Selkirk, Manitoba where Heather attended Centennial Elementary School and Selkirk Junior High. She graduated from the Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School in 1994. Heather attended Red River College where she graduated with honours in 1998 from the Civil Engineering Technology program. Following graduation she entered the workforce with EK Construction. She began with MTS in 2001 where she worked for 17 years. Heather was very active and loved fishing trips, weekends in Grand Forks with friends, playing ball and running the Mud Hero with her MTS co-workers. She frequently volunteered at her children's school and was a board member of Little Learners at Emerson Elementary School. Heather was very close to her family. She and her kids spent many weekends with her parents in Matlock, vacationing with her sister and family, visiting her brother and sister-in-law in Alberta or just staying in the city swimming in her sister's pool and having backyard BBQs. She explored the city with her kids, spending time at Assiniboine Zoo, Kildonan Park and biking around North Kildonan. Heather was adventurous, strong and admired by all who knew her. She will forever be in our hearts. A special thanks to Dr. Dawe, Caitlyn and all the staff at CancerCare Manitoba for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Heather's name to CancerCare Manitoba. A donation account will be opened for Heather's children following the celebration of her life. A come and go celebration of Heather's life will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, Winnipeg. Sincere condolences to the Kendrick family on the loss of your daughter, sister, and mom. I first got to know Heather at the MTS gym, where she was always there before my arrival at around 6:15 am, working out diligently. The early gym ended after Evan was born. Heather asked me if Joanne could help her with buying and selling a home. Joanne got to know Heather pretty well and she has touched us both with her warm personality and her beautiful smile. Let your memories of Heather, and the knowledge that she touched many others in a positive way, help you through this difficult time. - Posted by: Peter and Joanne Cohoe (former MTS coworker (Peter) and Realtor (Joanne)) on: Feb 24, 2018
