WILLIAM (BILL) FREDERICK RICHARDSON 1934 - 2018 Bill, born January 22, 1934 in the village of Wymeswold (Leichester) England, passed away peacefully at age 84 on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Maples Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. Left to survive Bill are his elder sister Annie Mary (Nancy), niece Frances, two grandnieces, and four great-grandnephews. He was predeceased by his wife Madeline (Bin). Bill immigrated alone as a teenager to Woodstock, ON in 1951 where he began his working life with Standard Tube Canada (now ArcelorMittal Tubular Products). He remained with this same company for nearly 50 years, starting on the shop floor and retiring as the plant manager in Winnipeg. Bill was an avid golfer and a long-time member of the Elmhurst Golf and Country Club. He also enjoyed making and partaking in a glass of homemade wine. Bill, aka Billybrit, will be missed by the many who called him family or friend. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at a time and location to be announced later. Interment will be near to family in Abbotsford, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
