Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEVE HRABEC August 30, 1929 - February 23, 2018 It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Steve Hrabec, much beloved husband of Verna, cherished father of Diane and Dale (Evelyn). Steve was born in Winnipeg on August 30, 1929. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years and together enjoyed many happy moments with family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Dmytro and Mary, brother Mike, and sister Annie. He is survived by grandchildren: Jeff, Cindy (Ryan), Robert (Karen), Daniel (JoAnn), John (Brianne), David (Whitney), Chris, Larissa, great-grandchildren: Kallee, Ryder, Reece, Spencer, Graysen and beloved sisters: Stella, Rosie and Olga, and nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Dr. S. Thomas and the staff on N1 Concordia Hospital for their compassionate care. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. with interment immediately following the service. I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your husband/father/grandfather and great-grandfather. We met Steve and Verna when we moved on Johnson 17 years ago. They often sat outside in summer enjoying the weather and we're always up for a chat when I would walk by with our dog. Frank shoveled the walk and moved the lawn for Steve. We would often see Steve digging up the dandelions on his front lawn or working in his garden. He will be missed. Our condolences to the family.
