ROBERT (BOBBY) JANOWER Peacefully, at his residence, on February 25, 2018, Robert passed away at the age of 67. Robert will be sadly missed by his mother Helen, sister Barbara, brothers Allan (Charlotte), Alex (Christine), and nieces Amber, Ashley and Samantha. Robert was predeceased by his father William in 1993. Robert was born on the family farm in the Hayek district on March 2, 1950. Robert grew up helping out on the family farm. He was an avid reader with a love of history books. He enjoyed listening to Ukrainian music on Saturday nights and going uptown for coffee. Robert had a special gift of remembering family birthdays and family events. He had a special relationship with his mom. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Arborg. Father Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will follow in the General Christian United Cemetery (Okno). Pallbearers will be Norman Janower, Randy Smerchanski, Perry Smerchanski, Lawrence Solinski, Simon Cutler and Ryan Ringler. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the home care workers and all the staff at the Arborg Assisted Living. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to General Christian United Cemetery.
