ARTUR (ARTHUR) GEORG FAUSTLE September 29, 1933 - February 22, 2018 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Artur Georg Faustle on February 22, 2018, the loving and devoted husband to Inge (Klingel) Faustle for 62 years. Dad also leaves behind his daughters, Barbara Levy (Moses), Ursula Faustle (Scott Matthews), and many beloved grandchildren: Adam (Tanya), Sam and Sarah Levy, Nate (Cindy) and Nick Bilenky, and Sebastian Pageot. In January of this year he welcomed his first great-grandchild Benjamin Levy, son of Adam and Tanya. Artur will also be fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters and many loved ones in his birthplace of Kempten, Germany. Artur was the definition of an "old-world" man - strong, humble, and loyal. He spent his career in the structural steel business having left his fingerprints all over Winnipeg, and along the way made many dear friends. He was an expert craftsman, a perfectionist in his work and everything he built was made to last. His forever home in Elmwood being the testament to this: constructed and meticulously maintained with his own two hands. There was no project too big or refused; he was the definition of determined and talented. Artur was also an avid outdoorsman, gardener, The Duke's forever fan, the "official" family photographer, and self-proclaimed expert at pouring wheat beer. Artur led a full life and never shied from sharing his repertoire of stories, enriched with his penchant for embellishment. Perhaps more than anything, Artur had an enduring sense of humour, guaranteed to bring laughter or groans even during his most challenging times. His family was always his priority, and he provided for them and supported them in whatever ways he could. His charm was infectious, and he captured the hearts of many, including his neighbours and his dear friend Lorraine Petkau. Artur's warmth and kindness were shared with his dogs, most recently Teenie who spent many hours at his side, loving him and protecting him. The many memories of this great man will live on within the hearts of his loved ones. You will be missed, but never be forgotten. Ruhe in Freiden.
