Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE JEANNE HINCE With family by her side, Marie Jeanne Hince peacefully passed away at Foyer Valade on February 19, 2018, at the age of 94. Marie Jeanne was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Louis Hince, her children Micheline and Norman, grandson Guy, sons-in-law Claude Bohémier and Barry Moss, and siblings Ernest, Hector, Paul-Emile, Roméo, Marie-Ange, Noëlla, Noel and Lucille. Remaining to cherish her loving memory are her children Eveline (Doug) Cross, Marcel (Jeannette), Paul (Jeannette), Louise (Paul) Mercer, Suzanne Moss, Jacqueline Bohémier, Simone Hince, Georgette (Lloyd) Litke, Réal (Sandra), Céline (Michel) Fournier, Thérèse (John) Hince Siwicki and Nicole (Dan) Tymko, daughter-in-law Paulette Hince, 41 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves her siblings Jean-Marie, Arthur and Marcel Proulx. Mom was born on October 24, 1923 in St. Pierre Jolys, Manitoba to Pierre and Eveline Proulx. At the age of 23 she married her life long partner Louis and together raised 14 children. Our remarkable mother devoted her entire life to her family always putting us first. She did what she believed best to love, support and protect us. Mom drew her strength from her unwavering faith, instilling the same values in her children. Although she was only able to attend school to Grade 6 it provided her with writing skills that she used to keep a daily journal for over 75 years! Mom enjoyed the simple things in life like tending to her flowers, reading a book by the trees at St. Malo beach, placing a jigsaw puzzle, playing cards or simply listening to birds sing. It was life's little gifts that she treasured most. Nonetheless, Mom always felt her greatest blessing was her family in which she took immense pride. Mom, we love you, you will forever be in our hearts and we will miss you dearly. Prayers will be held on March 8 at 7:00 p.m., Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. A viewing will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on March 9, 2018 at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1007 St. Mary's Road, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. presided by Father Alphonse Bongo. Interment will take place at the Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
