SIDNEY RAMM It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sidney Ramm on February 26, 2018, at Health Sciences Centre, with his family by his side. Sid will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Mea, his son Alan and daughter-in-law Cynthia, and his granddaughter Jersey who was his pride and joy. He is survived by his parents, Walter and Doreen Ramm, his sisters, Linda Ducharme (Dennis) and Nancy Peters (Brad), and his brothers, Gilbert (Florence) and Albert (Dianne). Sid will also be missed by his sisters-in-law, Bonny Gee, Donna Kirby (Phil) and Vea Scollan (John). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Sid was predeceased by his five year old daughter Kathryn from Cystic Fibrosis, his brother Paul and sister-in-law Raymonde, his brothers-in-law, Bill and John and his mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Jim Kirby. Sid earned his Journeyman Plumber's ticket in 1972 and worked as a plumber for many years. Even when he stopped plumbing, he was always helping someone out with theirs. Sid really enjoyed puttering and it didn't matter if it was doing yard work or building things. He was meticulous and always wanted to make sure things were done properly. If there is a word to describe Sid it would be "kind", always putting others first and lending a helping hand. As a friend said, "he was one of the good ones". As requested by Sid, there will not be a service. Instead, family has held a private celebration of Sid's life. The family thanks the doctors and nurses of GH7 for their compassionate care of Sid during his final days. Special thanks to Gil for his support over the past several weeks. Flowers gratefully declined. So sorry for Mea, her family and friends. What a shock We met Sid and Mea in Kinsmen in the 70s and have enjoyed coffee on and off for years. A great guy and a contributor to all whose life he touched. Thinking of you - Posted by: Chris and Laurence Bertram (friends) on: Mar 03, 2018

Our thoughts and prayers to the family at this very difficult time. Sid was a very kind and caring gentlemen and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could. We will truly miss his friendly smile and conversations with him at the cottage. Condolences to Mea, Allen, Cynthia and Jersey! Rest in Peace Sid. I was shocked to hear of Sid’s passing this week. Sid was a wonderful and kind man! I had the pleasure of meeting Sid and his family at Winnipeg Beach as we were neighbors during the summer! I spent lots of time with his family each summer. Sid was always busy at the lake with something. It was rare to see him sitting down for a prolonged period of time. He definitely took pride in everything he crafted from a garbage bin holder to his cottage. His quiet presence and warm and friendly smile will surely be missed at the lake this summer! My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time! Take good care! Respectfully submitted by Tracy Simcoe - Posted by: Tracy Simcoe (Friend) on: Mar 03, 2018
