WAYNE GORDON LYNCH July 8, 1945 - March 2, 2018 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Wayne Lynch. Wayne passed away peacefully, with his loving family at his side, March 2, 2018 at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 72 years. Wayne will be dearly missed by his wife of 38 years, Marlene; daughter Andrea; son-in-law Phil; grandsons, Joshua and Geoffrey and "Missy". Also mourning his passing are siblings, Jim (Donna), and Pat (Neil); sisters-in-law, Brenda and Leslie; nieces and nephews; Marlene's family and their many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Marjorie; brother Ron; and nephew Joshua; and brother Gary. Getting together with family and friends was a very important part of Wayne's life. He always made sure everyone was entertained, except when he was watching the Winnipeg Jets! He was a diehard fan! He loved camping with the family, especially with the grandchildren and with their close friends. Many happy memories were made travelling to various parts of the world. Wayne was always quick with a joke. He is known for his dry sense of humour and one liners. Wayne accepted the Lord as his Savior and his faith became very important and a blessing to him, especially these last months. A celebration of Wayne's life will be on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. We would like to thank family and friends for all their love, support and prayers throughout Wayne's journey. We also would like to thank all the staff on 3 East, Riverview Health Centre for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, Brain Tumor Research. THOMSON "IN THE PARK" 204-925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com

I know I'm late in this tribute, but a fond memory popped into my head and I had to document for all. I worked with Wayne at Ranger Insurance just before he retired. And my goodness I loved watching him interact with children! Whenever we'd get a small child at the office with their mum or dad, Wayne would look at the kid and ask very seriously, "Why aren't you at school?!" And the child would invariably blush with delight at being mistaken for a school aged kid and say something like, "I not go school yet." It was magical. Every time. Wayne was a lovely man, and I'm so happy to have had him as a colleague. - Posted by: Shannon Peppard (co-worker) on: Aug 11, 2022

Wayne was such a character and filled our days at the office with laughter. From the minute we met him, we knew he special. Our memories are countless - from his beloved Miata filling up with rain to his speeding tickets on the way to work. Just the thought of him is enough to put a smile on the faces of those who knew him. I was fortunate to see Wayne and Marlene at the hospital recently and even through illness he was still very much “Lynchie”. Marlene you took amazing care of him and he loved you and Andrea so very much. He will always be lovingly remembered by our family and sadly missed. - Posted by: Marilyn (Friend ) on: Mar 06, 2018

Dear Marlene & Andrea, It was a great blessing for Danny and I to get to know you all and share some memories together. Puzzles, ice cream, and TV Jets games. We will treasure our new found friendship. Danny sure misses his buddy. Our heart-felt condolences to all. - Posted by: Marilyn & Danny Lepage (friends) on: Mar 06, 2018

Funny, Caring, Thoughtful and Loyal. These traits were Wayne's in abundance. I was very fortunate to have been in Wayne's life and his in mine. Never was it so easy to hang out and visit with someone. Even in the last year, Wayne maintained good humor and a positive and optimistic attitude. He so much loved many things above all of course, his family. God Bless us all. Patty - Posted by: Patrick Giesbrecht (Friend) on: Mar 06, 2018
