Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLARIVEL STUART Clarivel Stuart, beloved wife of Clinton Stuart, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Boniface Hospital, with family by her side. Claire is survived by her husband; mother Dolores Arche; sisters, Christine/Rodel Calantoc (Clark), Carlota Arche (John Carl). Parents-in-law (Linda/Larry Stuart); brother-in-law (Thomas/Nicole); and sisters-in-law, (Susan/Chris (Ben), Tammy/Jeff (Edric, Elowen, Shay)). She also has many aunts and uncles, Honoria Nibay, Malvira Milaney, Jesus Robles (deceased), Roberto Robles, Sylvia Nicomedes, Rodolfo Robles and their families who will miss her deeply. She is predeceased by her Father Reynaldo Arche and Grandma Alejandrina Robles. Claire was born in Manila, Philippines on February 19, 1972. She had many fond memories of her time living there with her parents and sisters. In 1985, at the age of 13, she moved to Canada to pursue further education and new opportunities. Following high school she moved to Vancouver, BC and studied Electronic Telecommunications at Vancouver Community College. She returned to Winnipeg in 1994 and began her career at Parker Hannifin (Vansco). She worked there for over 23 years and took on progressively responsible positions, from Production Assembly to Product Engineering - Project Office Team Leader and Pricing Analyst. Always wanting to improve her skills, she completed a Certificate Program in Management and Administration (C.I.M.) from the University of Manitoba in 2015. She was most recently promoted into a Project Manager role. Claire made many close friendships at work and also volunteered for the Social Committee. Claire met Clint, the love of her life, in 1999. It was a workplace romance that worked out exceptionally well! They were an amazing match and shared a life together full of immense love. They were teasing and flirting with each other right up until Claire's final days. Clint and Claire had a true partnership, giving each other strength and supporting each other through the good times and the bad. Claire prioritized and valued family above all else. She enjoyed spending time with her many cousins, aunts and uncles. One of her self-proclaimed missions in life was to support her parents and sisters in the Philippines and she did this with generosity and grace. In 2007, she sponsored her sister Christine's family to Canada and deeply cherished their time together. They became inseparable, spending time with each other almost every week. Claire was a gift to the Stuart family. She accepted and embraced us all. She became like another daughter and sister and had unique bonds with each of us. We loved her with all our hearts and could not have asked for a better addition to our family. Claire was a kind, confident, strong, determined woman. People gravitated toward our sweet Clairebear. She was fun to be around, loved to laugh and enjoyed life. She was easy to talk to, selfless and a great listener. No matter what was going on in her life she always wanted to hear about how everybody else was doing and what they were up to. She was also a nurturer. She took loving care of her cat Daisy, whom she taught many tricks. She showered her niece and nephews with love and many, many treats. Claire was also introspective and a true romantic. Over the years she wrote many poems and love letters for Clint. Claire was a true foodie! She enjoyed breakfasts out, trying new restaurants and was also an incredible cook and baker. No family gathering was complete without an amazing Filipino dish like cassava cake, adobo, lumpia or pancit. She was a fashionista and knew how to accessorize! She loved shopping trips to the States and was on a first name basis with the staff at Banana Republic. She enjoyed traveling and cherished her trips to Rome, Mexico, Hawaii and particularly going home to the Philippines. It was with immense humility and strength that Claire tackled her health issues. She energized and inspired others with her determination, courage and consistently positive attitude. An unexpected complication took her from us far too soon, leaving us heartbroken. Life was simply brighter and better with her in it. Together we will hold on to the lessons that Claire taught us, as we face the future without her. We want to express our gratitude to all of the doctors and nurses who cared for Claire at Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, financial or blood product donations can be made to Blood Services Canada. I knew Claire at Vansco Electronics. She was quite unforgettable although I've not seen her for some years. She was very intelligent and had a lively, assertive personality when I knew her. I even had the great privilege of mentoring her a little bit before I retired. My deepest sympathy to all her loved ones and co-workers.
