CLAUDETTE LEMOINE (nee ARNAL) It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Claudette (Arnal) Lemoine on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Victoria General Hospital. Claudette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Claudette is survived by her children, Claude (Doris), Ginette (Paul) and Marc (Francine); seven grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Sylvain (Julie), Damien (Amélie), Serge (Dominique), Danica (Braden), Christine (Jacques), Marie-Josée (Brett) and Dominique (John); and her great-grandchildren, Rhéanne and Noah. Claudette was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Gertrude (Piché), her siblings, Lorrain, Diane and Yvonne, her Arnal extended family who were more like brothers and sisters to her, many sisters and brothers-in-law, and the love of her life, her husband of 53 years, Joseph "Ti-Joe" Lemoine. Claudette was born on December 12, 1937 in Fannystelle, Manitoba. She met Joe in 1956 and they were married in 1959. They moved to Ste. Agathe to raise their family and start a dairy farm. After several years on the farm, they moved into town. Claudette enjoyed watching her French TV programs and the Young and the Restless, playing chase the Ace and Bingo, her trips with friends to both coasts and a trip to Disney World. Most importantly, she loved visiting with family and friends. We would often gather for Sunday night suppers to enjoy her signature roast beef and macaroni. Many will remember her from her time working in the restaurant at the Ste. Agathe Motor Hotel and the deli at Foodland in St. Norbert. The family would like to thank Doctor Prenovault and the staff at the Victoria General Hospital for the care and attention given to Mom. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel. Interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada (https://www.kidney.ca/). Desjardins 204-233-4949 1-888-233-4949 www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca
