Date of Passing: Mar 17, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD WINSTON LAMBERT December 24, 1944 - March 17, 2018 Sadly, after a valiant struggle with his illness, Ron passed away peacefully, March 17, 2018 in the MICU at the Health Sciences Centre, leaving behind his wife Terry (Peake) of 50 years. Also leaving behind two children, Michelle and Dale (Rogowski), and Bryan and Teresa (Derksen); and grandchildren, Brooke and Tatum. His sister Madeleine and John (Barney) reside in Arizona. His brother-in-law Bob Peake, as well as mother-in-law Marcelle Neumann are here in Winnipeg. Ron also has been survived by several nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his mother Grace and father Paul. Also predeceased by a young sister, Pauline and his younger brother Alfred. Ron started his career in diesel mechanics at Kipp Kelly back in the 1960s. He then worked in the same profession for Ingersoll Rand Ltd. Ron became self-employed when he started Fleetwash Ltd. with a partner and then, Winnipeg Sandblasting & Liqua Jet were created in 1985. Over the many years of being in business Ron has developed many friendships. He is known to many, quite often a father figure to some. A figure that stood out in a crowd, so loved by all. Ron's passion has always been his hobby of antique cars. He has been an active member of the Fabulous 50's Ford Club, the MAAC, and the Crown Victoria Association. Many of his friendships were created from his hobby, often helping others with the same passion. Most weekends would find Ron involved with some type of car activity, even if it was just a cruise in one of his Fords down to The Pony Corral on a Sunday evening. Our thanks to the wonderful staff at the MICU in the HSC for the care he received. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Manitoba Lung Association or to a charity of your own choosing. A private interment will take place with family. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Headingley Community Centre, 5353 Portage Ave., Headingley, MB R4H 1J9. Please join us in a celebration of Ron's life. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit www.chapellawn.ca Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 204-885-9715

Terry & Family, A man that meant so much to so many! We were very sad to hear of Ron’s passing and to be out of province for his service. Wish we could have been there in person to share in the many memories and to pass on our condolences in person. He will be greatly missed. He was to me, and to my family, an employer, a mentor, a friend and a friend in business. I learned a lot from Ron and will always be extremely thankful for the friendship. I will miss his advice, he was always a man of solid candor which I appreciated. I owe a lot of success to Ron and know many will miss his solid advice, business knowledge and friendship. All our best to all. Dave and Family - Posted by: Dave & Signe Berger (Employee/Friend/Friend in Business) on: May 06, 2018

Dear Terry and Family. I am so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. As many others have also said he was a man who always had time to lend a helping hand, great sage advice or a much needed tool when one was needed for a repair job. I am so going to miss solving so many of the world's problems while chatting over the fence. I shall always cherish my great memories of Ron especially his supervision and advice for the building of my workshop. My condolences to the family. Ron will surely be missed. - Posted by: Larry Taylor (Next door Neighbour and Friend) on: Mar 23, 2018

I am one of the recepients of Ron's kindness and good heart. He took me in when I was desperate looking for a job. He supported my Canadian immigration application and now... I enjoy the company of my family in Winnipeg. You were a blessing to me and my family Ron. I feel sad but I am sure... you are now at peace in the company of angels in the Lord's paradise. Until we meet again. - Ramsay - Posted by: Ramsay Tabing (Former employee) on: Mar 21, 2018
