Dearest Auntie Elsie, Brad and Lisa, We are so very sorry that Uncle John has passed away. My whole childhood revolves around our many visits as families. I can close my eyes and hear the laughter in the dining room while mom & dad and you and Uncle John played Canasta. It often brought us children from where we were playing, just to make sure everything was OK. It was so amazing to listen to Uncle John sing. I always thought one day he would be famous because he had such a perfect voice. What a gift he had. The day he passed, I heard El Paso on the radio...one of my favorite songs he used to sing. I had not heard that song in years, and then suddenly, memories came flooding back. We will pray that as time carries on, you will have continued fond remembrances of Uncle John and that the pain you feel will only serve as a reminder that the love you shared was irreplaceable. To Elsie and family - we are saddened to hear of John's passing. Laurie will always remember John from years growing up in your home, the adventures that he had with Dad/Dave and our families, to the years after our wedding coming over for visits when we were in town and having a drink/coffee at the table. We send all of you our thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: Lorne and Laurie Jonsson (Family friends) on: Mar 25, 2018
