MARILYN GRAY (TURNEY)
Date of Passing: Mar 12, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARILYN GRAY (nee TURNEY) 1928 - 2018 Peacefully, on March 12, 2018, at 89 years of age, Marilyn Joyce Gray (nee Turney), our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away. She will be sadly missed by husband Jack (of 69 years); daughters, Diane (Peter) and Lorraine; grandson Adam (Kristy); and friends. Marilyn attended Daniel McIntyre High School where she met her lifelong girlfriends. She met the love of her life, Jack, at a barbeque in Wildwood Park, where they later purchased their one and only home. After having a family, Marilyn went to work at the University of Manitoba, until her retirement. She then took on the role of caregiver for her three aunts. Marilyn's great joys were spending time with family and friends, having "the gang" over for dinner and going to Brereton Lake for the weekend and seeing the neighbours. She was an avid reader, crossword puzzle enthusiast, enjoyed walking and having lunch with her Wildwood friends. Later in life, Marilyn took up bowling again and won many trophies. Marilyn's last few years were spent at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre. We want to thank all the staff for being so kind and caring. No formal service will be held. Special thanks to long-time family friends, Lois and Gordie Johnson, for their frequent visits, which Marilyn greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, please send chocolate to a friend. Our love for you will live on forever and you will always be in our hearts. THOMSON "IN THE PARK" 204-925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
