CANDACE (CANDY) DAWN BENNETT February 13, 1970 - March 21, 2018 With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, partner, granny, sister, auntie, daughter and friend, Candace (Candy) Dawn Bennett. She passed away peacefully in her sleep, at her home, on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Candy was predeceased by her father Harold Bennett, her grandfather Robert (Bob) Scott, her father-in-law Sidney Seymour Sr., her mother-in-law Ethel Seymour (Crate), and brother-in-law William Seymour. She leaves to mourn her mother Doreen; her daughters, Jasmine (David), Lauren and Savannah; her son Logan (Jolene); her brother Terry (Janet); sisters-in-law, Gloria, Bernadette and Florence; brothers-in-law, Nathan (Vivian) and Curtis (Liz); her partner Colin; her ex-husband and friend Sidney; her grandchildren, Alexis, Rosie, Sammi, Charlie, Dawson; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends. She also leaves to mourn her best friends, Candace Smith, Trena Raven and Erin Prince and her guides and mentors, Doreen Smith and Neill and Edith Von Gunten. Candy was full of life and love and she touched so many people's hearts. She always had a smile and a laugh to share, an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. We'll never forget you. We will love you forever, to the stars and back. Cremation funeral services will be held at Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline St. in Selkirk, MB at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 with a lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Type 1 Diabetes Research Foundation, JDRF, 235 Yorkland Blvd., Suite 600, Toronto, ON M2J 4Y8.
