CAROL ANN LOVERIDGE July 27, 1945 - March 28, 2018 It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Carol Loveridge. She lived her last days resting peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital with family at her bedside. Carol lived a full life. She loved to support the Arts in both her work and her free time. In Toronto, she worked at Tarragon Theatre and the Writers Development Trust Fund, both organizations that support community playwrights. During those years she was also politically active, attending demonstrations and fundraising events to support and promote issues of child care availability and equal pay for equal work. When she relocated to Winnipeg, to help her daughter and to be closer to her grandchildren, she continued to be active in both the arts community and the community she lived in, through her work and her volunteer activities. She volunteered with the Nine Circles Board of Directors and regularly attended plays, concerts, art shows and other community events. She completed her career as the director of the Occupational Health Centre, where she showed compassion for the people she worked with and the community she served. In her retirement, she enjoyed both the city and the country and was often found reading and sunbathing in a beach chair - on her front porch in the city and on the beach at the cottage. Carol walked kilometres around Winnipeg's downtown, from her home, to her office, to local restaurants and coffee shops, as well as her local library. She was an avid reader and always kept her living room full of new mystery hard covers, preferably by Canadian authors. Carol loved being a part of the communities in which she lived. She was incredibly welcoming and would make friends with those around her community. Her acceptance, good wishes, and generosity for all, will be remembered by those who knew her. There are many of us who love Carol, and her memory will be cherished by her brothers, Lloyd and Stuart; her daughter Deborah; grandchildren, Sarah, Simon and Rosalie; and great-grandson Tyson. Carol left this world a little bit brighter through her goodwill and kindness. Goodbye and thank you 'Bana', you will be forever in our hearts. Friends and relatives are encouraged to share in a eulogy and condolences for the family by visiting Carol's memorial page at IntegrityDeathCare.com We will be officially celebrating Carol's life on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Scandinavian Cultural Centre, 764 Erin St., Winnipeg, MB. • I recently purchased online one of Carol's watercolors. When the box it was shipped was opened today 9/4/2021, I gasped. Having purchased more than a few paintings, for my personal collection of various painting mediums, and closely looking at this painting of Carol------WOW! Thanks Carol, Raymond Zagorski, 30 Apache Trail SW, Cartersville, IGA 30120.Also Carol, if they got cell phones where you are, give me a call (678) 721-6302. Take care and you did real good! • Carol and Debbie were our friends and neighbours on Berryman St., Toronto in the late 60's and early 70's. Debbie and my daughter Allison were great friends If there is any way to get this email to Debbie, would sure appreciate it. I was devastated to hear of Carol's passing. Too young. Would love to hear from her, as would Allison, who is living in B.C. Am in touch with Candice Phoenix, who had given me the news a few months ago. - Posted by: Nancy Allison (Friend from Berryman St., Toronto) on: Sep 18, 2019

  • Carol came into my life the fall of 1967. She was a supportive, caring friend. Only got out to visit once in Winnipeg and was so very pleased to see how happy she was with the move West. She so wanted to be with Debbie and her kids. Big hugs to you all. - Posted by: Candice Phoenix (Friend) on: Oct 28, 2018
