Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I am so incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Willie & offer my deepest condolences to his family and friends. Every day, Willie came in for his daily coffee with a smile and a little joke for me with his quirky sense of humour. I always looked forward to seeing him and hearing his jokes. His visits never failed to brighten my day. The team at Starbucks will miss him deeply. “It’s a beautiful day out there, the sun is shining!” (even in a blizzard, according to him!) - Posted by: Stephanie (Friend) on: Apr 03, 2018

  • Willie was a customer of mine while I worked at Selkirk Starbucks last year. He'd always come in during his walks and have a seat while he enjoyed a cup of coffee. He and I had many wonderful conversations, which I will cherish forever. I had to say goodbye to Willie last summer before I moved to Toronto for university, and I remember sitting down with him before I left. He shook my hand and said "You're gonna do great". I'm never going to forget that. I loved making him laugh with silly jokes and funny stories. I'm going to miss him greatly. I remember he always used to tease me by never telling me his last name because he knew how much I wanted to know. Now, I do. I send my deepest condolences to the Pshednowek family. Willie was a wonderful man. Best wishes, Ava Truthwaite - Posted by: Ava Truthwaite (Friend) on: Apr 03, 2018

  • I attended high school with Wilfred, he was an absolute GEM, always friendly, joyful, never complained about any difficulty he might have. He was a consummate, friendly human being. He never ever had an angry word towards anyone. All his school associates enjoyed being with him. Wilfred made our time at class enjoyable. Many of his school friends affectionately called him “PUSSY CAT” My sincere condolences to his sister Florence and all his family and many Friends. Wilfred, you went quickly, REST IN PEACE, my dear school friend till we meet again. Sincerely Alex - Posted by: Alex Sum (School friend) on: Apr 03, 2018
