Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGABRIJELA ANDERLIC Gabrijela, aged 82, passed away peacefully on Easter Morning, Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Luther Home. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincenc, mother, Emilija Hertl, and two grandchildren, Adam and Megan. Gabrijela will be lovingly remembered by her children, Andrej (Cheryl), Jernej (Teresa) and Anna, grandchildren, Amanda (Michael) Mosher, Jason, Jared and Rebecca, and great-grandchildren Xander and Mayah. Gabrijela was a very religious person, dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes (Slovenian Church). She loved her family and enjoyed many family get-togethers. She enjoyed her time camping at Nutimik Lake. She had a real passion for animals, especially Piki. She worked as a housekeeper at the Municipal Hospitals, but loved interacting with the patients. We would like to thank everyone who visited her at Luther Home, especially Louis Stegne and Kuma. We also want to thank the staff at Residence Despins and Luther Home for their care and compassion. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 250 Burrin Avenue, Winnipeg, celebrated by Father Dominic Yuen and Father Diosdado Parrenas. Viewing will be held prior to service. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined. Should friends so desire, a donation in memory of Gabrijela can be made to a charity of your choice. I was a junior high (Aberdeen) friend of Anna's. We used to bike to Kildonan Park. I was often at the Anderlic house on Aberdeen. I was always welcomed warmly by Mr and Mrs. Anderlic. Years later when I was looking for my first job, I knew Gabriella worked at Municipal Hospitals and we reconnected. That is when she asked me to call her by her first name. I was there as a healthcare side, she in housekeeping. It was always such a pleasant day when you ran into her and her beautiful infectious smile. In 2013 I was doing a practicum for recreation and once again found Gabriella. She was at Luther Home. It was so nice to see her again. We had several long conversations. Glad I got to see her. She was still the upbeat lady with that great smile. To Anna and all her family please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your mom.
