JITSUO CLARENCE TAKEUCHI (CLARE TAKEUCHI) Clare passed away peacefully on March 30, 2018 at home, with his family by his side. He will be greatly missed by his wife Starr, of 26 years, his sons Carey, Jeffrey and Trent, stepchildren Tonya, David (Kaillie), and his grandchildren Sypriss Anderson, Harlem and Jaxen Gordon-Merrick. He will be sadly missed by his brothers, sisters and in-laws: Sueo, Masaru, Seiji (Seiko), Sumio (Ann), Sally, Yuriko, and by many of his nieces, nephews and family members. He was predeceased by his parents Jitsu and Yonekichi, brothers and sisters Hatsumi (Fujikawa), Tsugimi (Go), Yaeko (Urano), Minoru, Utaka, Lily (Ikeda), Tsuzuku and Tatsumi. Clare was born on May 13, 1936 in Maple Ridge, BC. He was the youngest of 13 children. After being released from internment camp, his parents moved to Winnipeg to start their life over again. He worked for many years at Canadian Rodgers and Air Masters Sales before opening his own business J-Tak Sales Agencies Company until his passing, Clare has been a Mason and Shriner member for over 25 years. Cremation has taken place, a service will be held on Wednesday, April 4 at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. A reception to follow.
