JEAN STEPHENSON (nee BOWCOTT) 1946 - 2018 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Stephenson. She fought a long, courageous battle with cancer and on March 27, 2018 found peace at home with Dad at her side. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Richard (Dick) and Aida (Kay) Bowcott. In school, she was very involved in athletics, winning awards for volleyball, basketball and softball. In July 1965, Mom married Dad and they travelled to Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario. Mom had a few jobs outside the home, but her "career" was being Mom, wife, homemaker and friend. She made our house a home. Summers at the lake and gathering with family and friends were some of Mom's happiest times. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Ian, son Paul (Rachelle), daughter Laurie (Lee), grandchildren Kelly, Ryan and Sam, and sister Maryanne (Richard). We would like to thank Pam, Peter, Mary, Vivian and all those who demonstrated such kindness and care to Mom. Although we wanted so much to keep you here with us Mom, our hearts are lightened knowing you can finally rest.
