Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROLANDE JEAN MARIE HAMONIC Peacefully, on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, Rolande J. Hamonic left us to join Our Lord. Rolande was born on August 6, 1918, in Assiniboia, SK and moved to Manitoba in 1933 with her family. She was an "A-1" person much loved by all who knew her. Quiet in nature and generous in spirit; Rolande lived her life with steadfast commitment and courage. An avid gardener, she took pride in her beautiful yard. In her own way, she was a strong independent woman. Rolande was well-known by many in the community for her long and successful management role in the local sportswear manufacturing business, a mainstay of St. Malo enterprise. She cherished her relationship with her nieces and nephews often sharing stories and treats with them. Genuinely devoted to her family, Rolande enjoyed nothing more than sharing her life with her brothers and sisters. She leaves behind her brother Marcel (Janet); sisters, Thérèse (Léo), Béatrice (Gaëtan); sister-in-law Rolande, and numerous nieces and nephews. Rolande was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Léontine (née LeDortz); her brothers, Robert (Marguerite), Léon (Cécilia) (Thérèse), Eugène (Jacqueline), Edouard, and Jean Jr.; sister Cécile (Noël) and sister-in-law Yolande. You are free and at peace! We love you matante Rolande and we will keep you in our hearts. A special thank you to the staff at Le Repos Jolys for providing over 18 years of excellent care, and for lovingly becoming her extended family. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Catholic School of Evangelization, P.O. Box 570, St. Malo, MB R0A 1T0. LECLAIRE BROTHERS 475 Provencher Blvd. in care of arrangements, 204-775-2220
