Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN BILOUS May 3, 1925 - April 2, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother. At the age of 92, she peacefully passed away with family by her side. Our Mom was devoted to her family and will be sadly missed. Mom and Dad had celebrated 65 years of marriage, before he passed away in 2013. Mom is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Son - Ronald Bilous (deceased), Linda and Will Shipman, Tom Bilous, Karen, Autumn, Zak, Hartley, Ruby, Di Chase, George, Carson, Rylan, Greg Bilous, Tanya; daughter - Sylvia Walker, Danny Mitchell, Avegayle, Gord, Leah, Brian; son - Mervin Bilous, Dion, Jason, Melissa, Aubrey, Alex, Ava, Teraann, Christopher, Simon, Hailey, Holly; daughter - Marcella Moodie, Dennis, Blake, Lisa, Hanna, Maya, Derek, Michelle, Van; daughter - Mar Howe, Gord, Genevieve Daly, Devan, Harrison, Nelson Howe; son - Jeff Bilous, Patti, Sara, Clint Bosch, Rebecca, Riley, Ryan Bilous, Tarryn, Brayden, Hallie, Laura Dunphy, Tim, Madelyn, Kaydence; daughter - Anita Ward, Bill, Parker, Delaine Bilous; daughter - Wendy Bilous, Danny Dietz, Tia; son - Grant Bilous, Nora, Jordana. Her love of family stood the test of time, she thought dearly of each and every one of us in her own way. With nine children, 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, that's a lot of love to spread around! Born in San Clara, she left the small community to work in Winnipeg. After a few years of housekeeping in private homes and with The Fort Garry Hotel, she was then employed with Perth's, the downtown location and Branch 405 in St. James. During her employment with Sears in the Taylor Shop, she also ran a small business as a seamstress from her home. She chose to design, fabricate, repair and alter anything her family would ask of her, free of charge! No wonder she never made any money! Much later in life, when all the children were out of the house and only grandchildren running around, she attended the University of Manitoba. In a two-year program, Mom received her certification in "Design Apparel". She hung her certification proudly in her sewing room. Mom/Grandma will be remembered through the many things she loved in life: sewing, cooking and baking, gardening and berry picking. We are certain she and Dad are out on Highway 59 with their pails, ignoring any sign of a bear and picking away! Mom with Dad, enjoyed the outdoors and would pack up the family for picnics, a beach day and cottage renting for vacations. They settled with owning a few cottages in Grand Marais, MB and loved the area. Most think Grand Beach is the draw to this resort area, but it was the various berry and nut picking which our parents embraced. Their cottages were a place for family and many friends to come and go. To this day, there is still family in the area. Mom, we will always hold you close in our hearts, and never be forgotten. The family would love to express their gratitude to the staff at West Park Manor Personal Care Home, for all their caring and loving support to Mom and us. Our mother's companion and friend Gwen, will always be so kindly thought of within the family. In our mother's later years, the attention, care and friendship you gave brought us peace. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to West Park Manor or a charity of choice. We are sad to learn of Lil's passing. Your Mother & Father were great friends of my Mom & Dad, Nettie & Mike Dupley. Lil's presence at WP Manor made my Mother's transition there much easier. It was nice they were able to spend some time together over this past year. Sincere condolences to the Bilous family, Linda, Jim McLellan & Nettie Dupley - Posted by: Linda Dupley-McLellan (Family Friend) on: Apr 08, 2018

Oh you put me to tears. That Diploma. Thats how I found out Grandma BILOUS had a first name. She was trying so hard to teach me to sew once. I remember that diploma. My Grandmother with no license to drive, took 22 years to raise her children and advise all of us about looking at things with a positive manner. I finally got that santa strophom sewed(with glue) & I will forever remember her name. I must thank Tommy for putting her to song. Grandpa would have loved it. - Posted by: Teraann Bilous (Granddaughter ) on: Apr 07, 2018
