LEONARD SUPPES 1949 - 2018 Leonard R. B. Suppes passed away on March 28, 2018 at St. Boniface Hospital after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. A funeral/wake service will be held on Saturday, April 14 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Thomson "In The Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Obituary may also be viewed at www.thomsoninthepark.com. When I heard of his passing from another friend I was in deep shock and couldn't believed that he has passed on. I kept on calling his phone hoping that it wasn't true but it was and as I walked by his place seeing the barbarcue sitting there I will remember him not just as my former sponsor but a father figure and a good friend. My memories go back some 50 years when I first met Lenny in Winnipeg at Memorial Park. He was always looking for ways to make us all laugh, and often succeeded. He married my best friend, Lydia, and together they had three kids. Both of our families lived in Edmonton for a time, but the Suppes moved back to Winnipeg in the early 80s. There were not a lot of visits over the years, but when they happened, the miles between us melted away. Please take care of each other. I will say a prayer.
