I have known Karl for years as a good friend and teaching colleague. I just found out of his passing and I am shocked. We knew each other very well at the German Society of Winnipeg and always Karl showed wonderful character and did his best where ever he served. I am honoured to have him as a friend and sadly when he left the GSW we missed him. Being president of the German Society of Winnipeg and president of the Saint Hubertus Club he served them well. Students always highly spoke of Karl at Murdoch MacKay. He will be very much missed and not many are around with such great character. - Posted by: Franz (Friend) on: Apr 26, 2018

I’m so sorry for your loss. I am interested in family history. My husband’s grandfather, Wilhelm Preiss, was from the same general area of Poland. Please contact me at skaminski@sasktel.net. Thanks - Posted by: Sharon Kaminski (Possible relationship to my husband’s grandfather. ) on: Apr 13, 2018
