Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryETHELINE (ETTY) SCHAEFER (nee KIRCHHOFER) September 23, 1934 - April 5, 2018 Etheline passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Concordia Hospital at 83 years of age. Surviving are her daughters, Kathy (Bob) Carter and Susan (Darren) Shaw; her loving grandchildren, Jillian and Justin Carter, Carissa and Braden Shaw. Etty was predeceased by her husband Larry, May 31, 2009 and her son Brian, November 4, 2017, as well as her parents. The family would like to thank Dr. Darcy Johnson and the Concordia Hospital staff. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all that were involved in allowing mom to stay in her home. Funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road, with Pastor Bruce Gelhorn officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Angel Mausoleum at Green Acres Cemetery. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice, in memory of Etheline. I’m so very sorry about Etty’s passing. I found the obituary by accident while doing research for my family history on Ancestry. She was my Dad’s first cousin and I remember her as a pretty young woman in the early 1960’s. She also visited us about 10 years later and appears in a family photo. We have know Oma for many years and what a beautiful person. Always there when needed , we are so grateful to have known her. She was always involved and concerned for out children throughout the years. I know the pain Kathy and Sue feel at this time but just remember the incredible mom you had and all the amazing memories.
