Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I am very saddened to have only this day May 9th to learn of Joe's passing. I dialed his cell to make an appointment, I'd expected Joe to ask if I wanted to come now. When there was no ringing I 'knew' and checked online to learn the sad news. I will forever remember Joe for the wonderful gracious gentleman that he was and in the spirit world is now. I had been having my hair cut by the most professional barber and hairdresser in Winnipeg . I was looking forward to more enjoyable conversations with Joe today and I was getting ready to phone and come over. My heart goes out to you Diane and your family . I will always remember in my heart this great and wonderful man. Grae - Posted by: Grae Hughes (Friend and customer) on: May 09, 2018

  • We had the pleasure of meeting Joe at the Wellness Institute quite a few years ago. It began with the occassional Hi! how are you and soon evolved into regular Monday, Wednesday, Friday coffee meetings. Joe was a great story teller and we shared a lot of laughs together. We really looked forward to these get-togethers. Sadly our coffee meetings just aren't the same without him now. We really miss him but we are happy that we did get to know him and were able to enjoy his company. We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Diane and Joe's extended family. - Posted by: Ivan and Judy Winnicky (Friends) on: Apr 19, 2018

  • Our hearts are hurting. Our dear friend Joe is a wonderful friend who we laughed with for many years. We lived a couple doors away from Joe and Diane. He taught us in cooking, gardening and many life issues. I wasn't much of an outside person, I can thank him for enjoying it now. We cooked together and ate his amazing dishes. Always a smile and hearty laugh that kept us happy being with him. He and Diane watched our kids grow up and treated them with love always. When our new grandson was born, he was close to him, and as time went on he called him Papa Joe. Joe gave him his first haircut and more when Mike would come for his. We will miss his beautiful sense of humour and smiling face. A very special friend we will forever love and never forget. - Posted by: Michelle Prent (Family friend) on: Apr 19, 2018

  • I have known Giuseppe (Joe) for many years as a member of the Wellness Centre. Joe was a friendly, outgoing man who was liked and respected by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His smile and humour will be missed by everyone. My deepest sympathies and condolences to the family, Joe was a true gentleman. - Posted by: David Cancilla (Friend) on: Apr 17, 2018
