HENRY REMPEL October 29, 1927 - April 16, 2018 On the evening of April 16, 2018, at his residence, Henry passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Henry is survived by daughter Marian Thiessen, grandson Kevin Rempel (Tesh), brothers Ed (Sylvia) and Walter (Norma), sisters Anita (Neil) Kasper and Margaret (Fred) Heese, sisters-in-law Lena Schapansky and Margaret Schapansky. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Tina, son Ron, son-in-law Gerald, brothers Peter, Jacob, John, Dietrich, Ernest and Harold. Henry was a businessman who found his niche in the lumber industry and especially enjoyed his years as a partner in All-Fab Building Components. He also found time in his busy life to faithfully participate in the life of his church community. He had a deep appreciation for music and nature, and together with Tina enjoyed travelling to near and distant places to explore the world. He was admired for his integrity in his faith and his inner strength, both in life and in death. A kind, gentle man, he will be sorely missed. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 20, at 1:00 p.m. at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church, 926 Garfield Street (at Sargent Avenue). In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
