KARLHEINZ RUPERT REICHERT 1935 - 2018 Peacefully on April 17, Dad passed at the St. Boniface Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Anneliese and daughter Michelle. Dad is survived by his daughter Ramona, grandson Christopher and two fur grandpuppies, Gerty and Barry. He was born in Mannheim, Germany on May 20, 1935. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 and worked in the San Antonio Gold Mine in Bissett, MB. Bissett is where he met Mom. They came to Winnipeg in 1958, got married and lived a full life. Dad worked at Manitoba Bridge and Engineering through the 1960s and 1970s until it shut down, the Canadian Mint and finally Tuxedo Villa until his retirement. Dad sang with the Manitoba Opera Society for over 10 years, loved gardening, playing his piano, sports, breaking and fixing things. Mom and Dad both loved travelling and enjoyed winter trips to Mexico. After Mom's passing Dad still went on winter vacations up until last winter. He discovered Cuba and loved it. As per Dad's wishes, no formal service will take place. A private family interment will take place. Dad loved animals especially dogs. If you feel so inclined, donations can be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 9Z9. Thank you very much to the staff at Mark's Work Warehouse (Dakota), Winnipeg Paramedics and the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital Emergency and 6th E Floor staff. A special thank you to Mrs. Stanley our longtime family friend for her support. Rest well Dad. Ich Liebe Dich. NEIL BARDALFUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com
