EUGENIE BROCKMANN (nee BLANK) Peacefully, on Sunday, April 22, 2018, Eugenie passed away at the Concordia Place Care Home, at the age of 88. Mom will be sadly missed by her daughters Gudrun Brockmann and Lilly (Bill) Kaminski; granddaughter Jennifer (Dwayne) Gregorash, and great-grandchildren Leah, Braeden, Rylan and Austin. Also remembering Eugenie are numerous family and friends in Germany and Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Heinrich in 2014, brother Alex in 2006, mother Adelheid in 1986, sister Hedwig, and brother Herbert. Mom was born in Johannestal, Russia and emigrated from Germany to Winnipeg in 1954. She started her career as a seamstress in 1955 until her retirement in 1995. Mom's love was to cook and most of all baking tortes and desserts. She enjoyed many summers planting the garden with her son-in-law Bill and Papa. We would like to thank Tanta Clara, Jen and Dwayne, and many family and friends for their support during this time. The family extends appreciation to the staff at Concordia Place for their kindness to Mom throughout the past four years. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Green Acres Funeral Home. "Wir lieben dich Mama und werden dich vermissen. Gib Papa eine kuss von uns."
