My deepest condolences to Mrs. Gardewine and the Gardewine family. I met them when they became my 'basement' neighbours many years ago. I always enjoyed our visits. They shared many memories of their times creating the trucking company and having their children. The stories they told about how the children grew up were quite funny at times and showed me that I'd make it through my child-rearing days/trials! Many prayers and heartfelt hugs to Vada during this difficult time. - Posted by: Roxi Denning (neighbour) on: May 04, 2018

I would like to wish my deepest condolences to the entire Gardewine family and say that for the time I spent with my uncle Ed I will always remember his smile, sense of hummer and dedication to his JOLLY GREEN GIANTS even when they were really bad they were his team and know one could forget it. Rest in Peace Uncle Ed. You will be missed. - Posted by: Ray Dojcak And Raisa Dojcak (Nefew) on: May 03, 2018

Although I only met Mr. Gardewine a few times back in my teenage years, I want to express my deepest sympathy to the whole the family. Just last week, Maureen and I were looking back at photos from those years and reminisced about some great times we had hanging out with Ralph and his friends including at the Gardewine home on Sinclair. Rest in Peace Mr. Gardewine. - Posted by: Nanci Makichuk Dagg (former friend of Ralph's) on: May 03, 2018

Our deepest sympathies on Ed’s passing. Had a wonderful visit with Ed & Veda about 5 years ago. We caught up on our respective sides of the Seidel tree. Fond memories of them as a kid when we lived in Flin Flon and would visit them in The Pas. I’m sure they didn’t remember me as a kid, but knew me as Del & Gail’s daughter. Our sympathies to all. - Posted by: Roxanne Haywood (née Hebig) (Distant cousin) on: May 01, 2018

Deeply saddened and extending heartfelt sympathy on Ed's passing. Thank you to the Gardewine trucking family for the long time support of the Canadian Cancer Society daffodil campaign & Vada for your long term leadership through the Society's annual residential campaign. Although we met on only a few occasions when you lived on Sinclair, I sensed that Ed was your best ally in your volunteer work! Please know that my thoughts are with you at this sad and difficult time. - Posted by: Lynda Ruban (Canadian Cancer Society (retired)) on: May 01, 2018
