Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVINCENZO (JIMMY) (VINCE) DEROSA With great love and wonderful memories, the family of Vincenzo DeRosa announces his peaceful passing on April 30, 2018 at his home. Vincenzo was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Left with treasured memories is his wife Raffelina (Lina) of 49 years. His mother Maria and his siblings, Luigina (Carmine), Rosina (Domenico) and numerous nephews and nieces. He will be missed by his children, Maria (Tony) Veragta, and Francesco (Shannon) DeRosa. Nonno will be missed and fondly remembered by his beautiful grandchildren, whose generous spirit was and will continue to be an inspiration by, Vincenzo, Michele, Francesco and Drew. Now his graceful and loving spirit joins his beloved father Francesco DeRosa. Born in Malito, Cosenza, Italy on September 13, 1949. Vincenzo met and married his life partner Raffelina (Lina) Aiello on April 26, 1969. They just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. Vincenzo's greatest happiness in his life was his family. His home was a friendly and welcoming place, rye or brandy always waiting for company. He took great pride in all he did. He will always be remembered for his strength of character, generosity, compassion and caring. We would like to thank all our loving family and friends for their support and kindness. A special thanks to Nella for all you have done. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Parish Church, 510 River Avenue with Father Gerry Ward as the Celebrant. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley Street. Pallbearers will be Carmine Fiorillo, Domenico Fiorillo, Carmelo Aiello, Ralph Aiello, Kevin Keating and grandchildren Vincenzo DeRosa, Michele DeRosa, Francesco DeRosa and Drew Vergata. With sincere gratitude we wish to thank the many wonderful doctors in the emergency care unit and God's right hand man Doctor Richard Bilos for being patient and kind with my father's illness. To the Derosa Family, I never met your Dad/Nonno personally but he always had a smile on his face and time to wave, when I drove by his home. It was obvious how much he loved you and he was loved, as grand children were always nearby and family over to visit. I am very sorry for your loss.
