LORDY P. DAVILA Lordy P. Davila, our matriarch, our beloved "Mama", left this world peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on April 29, 2018 in Winnipeg, MB, at the age of 83. Mama was born on January 31, 1935 in Duenas, Iloilo, Philippines. She worked as the Food and Drug Inspector for Westen Visayas, Philippines and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1973. She retired as Pharmacist after 25 years with National Drugs in Winnipeg. Mama was known for her generosity. You could not visit her and not be given something to take home. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening very much. It was a staple as to why bringing flowers in her final stages of her life had been very symbolic in her presence. As well, we will miss her amazing desserts and pastries that she so lovingly made for everyone to enjoy. She was so proud of her family's accomplishments alongside Papa. Both Mama and Papa were always attending their grandsons' tennis tournaments. Mama is now being looked after by her two infant sons, Warren and Russell in heaven. Mama will be remembered by her loving husband Romeo, whose undying love was so evident when he did not leave her side; her children: Romilyn (Homer) Lacap and Hazel Mae; her grandchildren: Sean, Chad, and Cole, and her families and friends. We would like to thank Dr. Maksymiuk and his staff for their unfailing care. Viewing/Lamay will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 Midnight, with prayers at 7:30 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at St. Edward's Church, 836 Arlington St. Interment and reception to follow at Glen Eden Funeral Home and Cemetery.
