Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCOREY WM. BAILEY July 9, 1972 - May 2, 2018 It is with great sadness and broken hearts we announce the passing of our loving son, brother and uncle on May 2, 2018 at Riverview Health Centre. Corey had a long struggle with Crohn's Disease and a short battle with cancer. Corey will be lovingly remembered by his mother Valerie, brother Sean, sister-in-law Lisa, nephew Matthew, niece Keanna, his furry buddy Cooper, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins who had a special place in his heart. He was predeceased by his father Gary in 2007. Corey was born and raised in West Kildonan. He enjoyed cycling and his peaceful walks in Kildonan Park and was a longtime member at the Wellness Centre. The family would like to thank Dr. S. Husarewycz and the St. Boniface Hospital staff, especially 7A West for their care over the many years. Also thank you to Riverview Health Centre staff for their care and compassion given to Corey during his final days. Corey would like to give a special thank you to his Uncle Don for his support and kindness through the years and making him very happy with his special gift of "time" on April 6, 2018. As per Corey's wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens (Serenity Chapel). Private family interment as requested. Corey is looking down from "Paradise City" enjoying his love of football, wrestling, old movies, and Guns N' Roses. For Matthew, Keanna and Cooper, Sunday suppers will never be the same without your humour and singing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Corey's memory to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, 3310 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3K 0Z1 or to Riverview Health Centre, One Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4. If the sun refused to shine I would still be loving you When mountains crumble to the sea There will still be you and me "You will be forever loved and always missed!" To the Bailey Family, I met Corey through his travels with IBD as one of his health care providers. It's hard to forget him because he always had a smile on his face and was kind. I hope he has found his peace after his health struggles. We never forget certain patients- Corey was was one of them. - Posted by: Health Care Provider (Health Care Provider) on: May 09, 2018
