WASYL MINSKY (aka BILL and WALDO) May 3, 1940 - April 19, 2018 Wasyl Minsky has passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital after a courageous battle with COPD at the age of 77, on Thursday, April 19, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Left to cherish Wasyl's memory are his loving daughter Candy Corrigal Minsky; loving son LeRoy Oggie Minsky (wife Lani Drechsler); and his loving and only grandchild Karlie Paige Lindsay Corrigal Minsky, whom he loved and cherished so deeply. Karlie was his world. We are all so very sad and broken hearted that Wasyl Minsky has passed away. He was a wonderful father and grandfather (poppy). Nick Minsky (wife Carol) is the only sibling left. Wasyl loved his baby brother very much. Nick also helped with his brother's care. Thank you, Uncle Nick and Auntie Carol. Wasyl was predeceased by his wife Joyce Minsky, his daughter Lorraine Minsky, many siblings, our lovely C.C., and also, we could never forget his favourite dog CUDDLES. He really loved that dog. I would also like to thank my Auntie Bernice (Frank Onufrey Minsky - deceased) for all her love, support and laughter during this difficult time. Auntie Bernice just cheers everyone up. Thank You. I would like to thank all the medical staff and Pat Janzen - his Respiratory Therapist. • To Candy and Family, We were so shocked and sad to hear about your dad’s passing. We met in the hallway of Tamleon Manor many years ago and became instant friends. I spent a lot of time sitting on the front steps with “Waldo”.....it was one of my favourite things to do.....he had so many stories to tell and we laughed and joked so much. I will truly miss that “crazy old man” he got into my heart and will forever remain there! Sincerely, Colleen & Kirk ❤️ - Posted by: Colleen and Kirk (Neighbor and Friend) on: May 14, 2018

  • To Candy and family, I was very saddened when I heard of your dad's passing. He was one of the 'sit on the front steps' Tamleon Manor family. The bunch of us had many hours of chit chat on those steps. He was funny and loved to talk. I will remember him always.
