RITA STRONG (nee PERRON) It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Rita Marie Hélène Strong (née Perron) of Transcona, Manitoba, who, surrounded by family, was called home to the Lord at the Health Sciences Centre on May 5, 2018 at the age of 68 years. Left to cherish Rita's memory are her husband Edward (Tick), of 48 years, son Curtis (Crystal), sisters, Yvette (Fred), Denise (Edward), Gisèle, Liliane (Lorne) and Joceline (Manuel), brothers, Marcel (Ginnette) and Georges (Dale), cherished granddaughters, Willow and Violet, brothers-in-law, Michael, Gerry, Ronnie (Sally), Randy (Cindy), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Louise, parents, Urbain and Rosemarie Perron (née Marcoux), and in-laws, Gordon and Tilly, and Erna. Rita will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, mémère, sister, aunty, cousin and friend, and for her willingness to help those in need. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, 505 Brewster St., Winnipeg. Special thanks to Surgical Intensive Care Unit staff at Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation in honour of Rita Strong. seasonsfunerals.ca
