Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANZ EBERTZ Franz Ebertz passed away peacefully May 5, 2018. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Berta, of 63 years; sister Magdalena; sons, Leonhard and Ralph (Bonnie); grandchildren, Leanne (Mike), Sheri (Cameron), Ryan, Brittany (Cody) and Christopher (Ashley); and great-granddaughters, Abigail and Jordan. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Beverley; and brothers, Leonhard and Peter. Born November 11, 1927 in Weidenberg, DE, Franz immigrated to Canada on August 10, 1951 and worked in Atikokan as a lumberjack before settling in Winnipeg. Franz worked for the City of Winnipeg for 27 years until he retired in 1993. Franz enjoyed spending time at his farm in Anola with his cattle, going for hamburgers at A&W, and watching his soap Young and the Restless. Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Street, Winnipeg, MB R3G 1Z5.
